The tragic passing of **Lauri Peterson**, a former star of *Real Housewives of Orange County*, has been linked to the struggles of her son, **Josh Waring**, who died earlier this year at the age of 35.
According to *TMZ*, Waring’s death was caused by a mix of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and olanzapine, and the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department has officially deemed it an “accidental” death.
Peterson, 63, took to Instagram in April to announce the heart-wrenching news about her son’s passing and shared insights into his ongoing battles.
“With a shattered heart, I inform you that my sweet Josh departed this world on Easter Sunday,” she wrote on April 6. “Such profound loss is unimaginable, and my entire being aches. Josh fought relentlessly throughout his adult life, but this past Sunday, the struggle was too overwhelming.”

In tribute to her brother, **Ashley Zarlin**, Waring’s eldest sister, reflected on his battle with addiction.

Josh Waring is survived by his parents, Lauri and **George Peterson**, his sisters, Ashley and **Sophie**, and his 12-year-old daughter, **Kennady**, who Lauri adopted in 2015. Recently, Lauri celebrated Kennady’s transition into middle school.
