Robert Eggers’ remake of the 1920s horror classic Nosferatu has released a chilling new image featuring Lily-Rose Depp as Ellen Sutter. In this striking photo, blood can be seen oozing from her eyes and mouth, enhancing the gruesome atmosphere of the film.
I’m really looking forward to this film! Eggers is known for his meticulous attention to detail and exceptional filmmaking skills, and this project is particularly close to his heart. I’m eager to see his unique interpretation of this dark and twisted narrative.
The reimagined Nosferatu explores the gothic tale of obsession between a tormented young woman in 19th-century Germany and an ancient Transylvanian vampire, portrayed by Bill Skarsgård, who brings unimaginable horror into her life.
Discussing the movie, Eggers remarked: “It’s a scary film. It’s a horror movie. It’s a Gothic horror movie. I believe there hasn’t been a truly frightening old-school Gothic film in a while, and I think most audiences will find this one to be genuinely unsettling.”
Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man: No Way Home), Emma Corrin (Deadpool 3), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kraven the Hunter), Simon McBurney (The Conjuring 2), and Ralph Ineson (The Witch) also star in this haunting tale.
Mark your calendars for the film’s release in theaters on December 25, 2024.
