The thrilling conclusion of the ABC competition series’ third season took place on August 28, unveiling four shocking celebrity relatives that left us stunned.
In the first half of the two-part finale, contestant Shane was eliminated when fellow competitor Mackenzie correctly identified his famous family member as the Oscar-winning star of The Godfather, Marlon Brando.
“Marlon’s my grandpa,” Shane revealed to the remaining contestants. “I grew up with him my entire life. I was really fortunate to spend time with him.”
That left Mackenzie, Adam, and Hud to compete for the $100,000 prize in the final showdown. After Adam triumphed in the physical challenge, he earned the final guess of the night and aimed to reveal Mackenzie’s celebrity relative, who was revealed to be singer Trace Adkins.
In a video message during her elimination, the country music icon expressed, “Mackenzie Lynn Adkins is my daughter. Congratulations on how far you’ve come, and I’m proud to call you my daughter.”
Despite not winning, Mackenzie felt no regrets about her gameplay.
