It appears that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s children are unaware of their royal status.
At just 5 years old, Archie is sixth in line for the British throne, while 3-year-old Lilibet holds the seventh position.
However, a recent report from Us Weekly reveals that the kids have yet to be informed about their titles or their place in the line of succession.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Children Are Unaware of Their Royalty
Given their young ages, it’s understandable that Archie and Lilibet find the concept of royalty difficult to comprehend.
Some fans, however, are taken aback that the children view themselves simply as ordinary kids.
According to an insider described as “a family friend,” “They’ll have those discussions in due time.” The source praises the kids, mentioning, “Archie is sweet, curious, and playful, whereas Lili is vibrant and happy.”
The source notes that Harry and Meghan prioritize their children’s sense of security, wanting them to be valued for who they are as individuals rather than their titles.
This approach includes shielding them from the negative aspects of the outside world.
Though Archie and Lilibet may have slightly fewer freedoms than their peers, this is a normal result of being part of one of the world’s most recognized families.
The Sussex family’s situation is further complicated by their lack of the same level of security granted to other royals.
Safety as the Primary Concern
A source explained to Us, “Every parent wants to share their kids with the world, but they just can’t.”
In contrast to Prince William’s children, who have greater safety, the same protections do not extend to Harry and Meghan’s kids.
The insider remarked, “They understand the world is interested in seeing them but should expect to lead a smaller life until the situation improves, if it ever does.”
While it may take some time before Meghan and Harry’s children engage in public life like their cousins, they are certainly not missing out on meaningful experiences.
Harry and Meghan Are Involved Parents
The source disclosed, “They take the children to school, pick them up, and are very active and present in their daily lives.”
Maintaining a sense of normalcy for their children won’t be an easy task for Harry and Meghan, but they seem committed to shielding Archie and Lilibet for as long as they can.
Ultimately, having two loving and devoted parents is a birthright more significant than any royal title.
